Family with children

Friendly breeds that can handle a busy home when they get enough socialization and exercise.

Beginner

Breeds most owners can handle — if you can manage training and a routine from puppyhood.

Active person

Dogs for sports, longer runs, and work, rather than a day on the couch.

A calmer companion

Lower energy needs—they still need walks, but won't have you hiking up mountains.
