Where does the pedigree come from?

A puppy with a pedigree doesn't come from a classifieds site. Its breeding history can be traced.

Clubs by breedWhat a pedigree does and does not guarantee

  1. Czech Kennel Union (ČMKU)

    The umbrella organization and kennel registry. We get kennel names and municipalities from it.

  2. Breed club

    Maintains the studbook, assesses breeding eligibility, and issues pedigrees.

  3. Kennel

    They raise a litter, enter dog shows, and register the litter through a club. That's what you see on the profile.

  4. Puppy with a pedigree

    Pedigree, microchip, contract. The pedigree confirms that the litter has gone through the full process.

Chovka does not verify breeders itself — it brings together public records of litters, dog shows, and websites.
